Seal and Its Definitions
Three main parts comprise the seal for the Kingthar Institute - the tree, the leaves, and the sun rays.
With its firm trunk set in solid earth, the tree expresses the confidence and strength imparted to the individual through the development of the mind and the integration of knowledge. The glory and satisfaction of achievement are exhibited in its leaves. The background of sun and rays suggests the role of the institute in the advancement, nurturing, and encouragement of the best in all aspects of learning.

Vision and Mission

The vision of the institute is to be one of the leading institutions in the region and the aforesaid vision is to be accomplished excellence in facilitating learners to attain high standards in virtue, knowledge in the good values and relevant research skills in order for them to advance and promote knowledge in education and allied fields and the way of life exemplified therein both in and outside the region.

Our Priority Goal: Education for All Youths 

Here the students shall pursue their studies cheerfully:
(1) Without being charged entrance fees or certificate fees,
(2) Without having to pay monthly fees or annual fees,
(3) Without having to give offertory for teachers. No fee is charged!

Infrastructure of the Institute
Kingthar Institute is, one and only Monastery Based Educational Institution, founded at the Monastery of Kingthar Dhamma Premises in Rathedaung, Northern Rakhaing State, Myanmar (Burma). It is under the guidance and leadership of Sara Dr. Twan Twan Soe. Many trained teachers and staff are conducting the classes and generating the intended activities in the following structures:
Board of Management,
Faculty Board: Department of Buddhist Studies and Department of Language Studies,
Special Project Development Department,
Finance & Account Department,
Information Technology Department and,
Health Care Department.
 

The Institute is mainly focused to give educational access on the poor children who do not afford to pay school fees. Teaching and training conducted by the Institute are mainly to focus on Learner Centered Approach. RWCT (Reading, Writing and Critical Thinking) training course is our core method. HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care and Support Project will also be run by the above-mentioned departments. The students have been being arranged to provide with a library. A clinic, a computer classes and a furniture factory are the other access will be provided by the Institute for the academic and vocational advancement of the learners.

is Director of Kingthar Institute in Rathedaung (Kingthar), Rakhaing State. Graduated from High School in 2000, August. Ordained as a novice-monk at 16 in 2000, March. Studied Pali Scriptures during 2000 and 2004. Passed Advanced Pali with First in all Rakhaing State in 2004. Ordained as a fully-ordained-monk by age 20 in Akyab, Rakhaing. Was conferred B.A. (English) in 2005. Lectured Pali Scriptures at Sasanajotipala Monastery. Studied Teacher-ship in the Dhamma at Alodawpyei Dhammācariya University - Yangon. Studied in Sri Lanka for his PG. Diploma and M.A. in Buddhist Studies in 2007 and in 2008 respectively at PGIPBS (University of Kelaniya). Completed 2 years DETE from University of Colombo. Followed BLCE program at Faculty of Social Sciences (Chiang Mai University) during Jan. and Feb. in 2010. He started his M. Phil. in the beginning of 2008 and upgraded to Ph.D. in July, 2009, and successfully completed his doctorate on 26th July, 2012 from the University of Kelaniya. For his credit; A Study of Buddhism in Arakan by his monkhood name; Ashon Nyanuttara; has been published in 2014. He currently serves as the Director of Twan Education Services in Rathedaung.
